Old York Tower, inaugurated in 1997, is an eight storey building with 128 one- and two- bedroom rental apartments and an underground single level parking garage. Telephone cable TV service outlets are pre-wired in all apartments. Comprehensive fire safety systems include smoke detectors in all apartments. All common areas in the building and rooms in the apartments are equipped with heat-sensitive sprinklers.

A coin laundry on each floor.
There is a large ground-floor Community Room with a full kitchen (max rated capacity of 116 persons). The Community Room hosts large annual invitational events for all residents sponsored by the board and management as well as bookings for live concerts and festival celebrations on Saturdays and Sundays by residents and open to all occupants of Old York Tower.
A second-floor Lounge (max rated capacity of 44 persons) with a library is available for resident bookings as well as rentals to external organizations. The residents library has a continuously renewed selection of quality books including large-print publications and audiobooks.
Old York Tower collaborates with the Dixon Hall Neighbourhood Services agency in the latter’s Supportive Housing Program for Seniors. This offers services to eligible residents to enable those with health needs to maintain an independent lifestyle. These services, funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health are provided by Dixon Hall’s health case management and personal support staff working on-site.
